After interviewing quite a few designers and builders, we decided to go with Blackpearl, a custom home builder we found online, because we felt the good vibe with them from the start. They are a young, professional, and passionate group. We feel very lucky and happy that we worked with them to build our beautiful new home!We worked with Vince, Sean and Sina throughout the process, and all of them were pleasant to work with because they care about their clients and take pride of their work. They overcame the difficulties working on a narrow lot in the city and gained good reputation among our neighbours. They brought in reliable trades to deliver good quality work on time even in the pandemic time. After 14 months of work, we moved into our new home and we are now enjoying it.Another plus point is that we worked with Coral Architecture Studio to design our new home. The architect Soodeh did a great job to create a very customized home for us. Black Pearl (specifically Sina) was fantastic to work with during our Bloor West home renovation. The project was quite a daunting one, but Sina guided us through the entire process and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. We selected Black Pearl for the complete renovation of our house (all 3 levels) as they impressed us the most during our extensive interview process given their detailed knowledge of the entire process. From the start of the project until completion (a year later) we had a really productive relationship with them and felt like part of the team. They were genuine, honest and most of all really cared about making sure all our concerns were addresses and that we were satisfied with each stage in the process. All the trades used during our project were of really high quality and delivered on time and on budget. I would highly recommend using Black Pearl for any home renovation/building project.

Black Pearl Custom Homes was recommended to us through a friend, while we were in the process of choosing a builder for our project. After interviewing 5 reputable companies in the GTA I decided to put my trust in the Black Pearl team as they showed a great deal of professionalism and knowledge from day one.The scope of renovation included a new kitchen, all bathrooms, flooring, entrance area, new HVAC system, new electrical system and painting of the entire house.Renovation process was challenging but our project manager Vince was supportive, kept our budget in mind at all times and most importantly brought our vision into reality with no shortage in quality.As part of our vision, we wanted to keep certain elements of our old home intact to keep the vintage character alive. We've worked with Vince & Sina at Black Pearl for a few years now on 2 major renos (converting a four storey duplex into a single family home & transforming the rest of the lot - small yard, parking at front).I wouldn't hesitate to use them again (and will do when we save enough to re-do the exterior).I've found Vince & Sina to be honest, fair, responsive & very good at over-coming numerous curve balls that cropped up throughout the job.They've also accommodated an ever-changing budget and wish list in a straight, honest manner.Please see posted photos to review quality of work/ finish. Do you offer warranties on your custom homes?
We are a registered Ontario home warranty Tarion builder. That means that all our completed new home projects are covered with a 10-year warranty, and renovation projects with 3 3-year warranty on any of the labour.
Who will be responsible for building permits?
Our experienced builders will be applying for building permits to your local Committee of Adjustment. This will save you time and effort and will bring positive results from the first attempt, thanks to our experience and knowledge.
